Hey You, Pikachu! is a prequel to Pokemon Channel, PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure, and PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond.
The game has a Voice Recognition Unit. This analyzes and comprehends the human voice. Hey You, Pikachu! is one of the two games to use this technique in the USA. This helps the player to interact with Pikachu. A maximum of 256 words is allowed.
The player communicates with a wild Pikachu in order to help Professor Oak but eventually becomes a friend with the Pokemon. Other than speaking to a Pokemon some other abilities of the player include picking up items and moving around.
First, the player requires to gain the trust of Pikachu. Then Pikachu comes to stay over the player’s place. The game has a currency system where the player gains Pika points and then unlocks new items at Abra’s shop with that currency.
The objective of the player in the game changes each day. The three-day objectives are Play Days, Pikachu’s Daring Days, and Discovery Days. There are a total of 365 days.
